(2) Instructional Assistant Positions

Available for the 2026-2027 school year, 5 days a week, 5.75 hours per day.

About the role

The Instructional Assistant will assist the teacher and/or other professionals in the provision of special education and related services to pupils with disabilities. The Instructional Assistant may assist the teacher in the supervision of pupils, with instructional tasks, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in the supervision of pupils.
• Support instructional tasks as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Lift at least 60 lbs.

Requirements

• Educational Aide Permit with ESEA Qualification required.
• Must pass the Para Professional Examination.
• High School Diploma with postsecondary training/education in working with and educating individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, associates, school officials, and the public.
• Ability to work with students with diverse backgrounds and needs individually or in group situations.
• Proficiency in operating standard office equipment.
• Good health, high moral character, and a good attendance record.
• Willingness to attend any provided training designed to qualify a person to perform their assigned duties effectively.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $21.88 (per negotiated agreement).

Schedule

188-day contract for the 2026-2027 school year.
