Instructional System Development Technical Writer

About the role

Technical Writers will assist in the development of capabilities-based requirements for ISD efforts in support of Space Control mission areas ensuring instructional requirements are doctrinally sound and technically mapped to Space Control capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Aid ISD Analysts and the government customer in drafting, refining, reviewing, and publishing the operational Training System Requirements Analysis (TSRA) documentation to support Capabilities-Based Assessment for multiple Space Control capabilities assigned to Mission Delta 3 and Mission Delta 9.
• Ensure documentation accurately captures integrate constraints/variables from the applicable Mission Area Requirements Document, Enterprise Requirements Documents, Training Planning Teams, Combat Force Component Fielding Processes, and/or other DOTmLPF-P change recommendations into the TSRA.
• Generate Systems Training Plans (STP) for space control capabilities; identifying instructional requirements, recommending solutions, projecting resource requirements to support programming and budget justification during PPBE cycles.

Requirements

• Experience with Suite of Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
• Previous DoW Instructional System Development and System Training Plans to include familiarity with: DAFPD 36-26, Total Force Development and Management MIL-HDBK 29612-2A DAFH 36-2675 DAFPD 13-6, Nuclear, Space, Missile, Command and Control Operations AFPD 63-1/20-1, Integrated Life Cycle 5+
• 5+ years experience in DoW systems training or Technical Writing.
• Previous Special Access Program Experience (preferred).
• Bachelor's Degree or Higher in Technical or Related Field.

Commensurate with experience.

Skills

• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Experience with ISD and STP development.
• Knowledge of relevant military documents and processes.

Pay

$100,000 to $125,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
