Hire, Supervise and Schedule Work/Study Students
Enforce Safety Protocols and Maintain Cleanliness in Laboratories
Set Up and Maintain Advanced Equipment for Experiments
Manage Inventory, Including Ordering, Cataloging, and Storing Tools and Equipment
Monitor and Manage Lab Budgets, Including Research and Procurement Proposals
Ensure Availability of Materials for Instructors and Assist in Demonstrations
Guide Students in Safe Equipment Usage and Troubleshoot Equipment Issues
Avoid Oversee Hiring, Supervision, and Scheduling of Work/Study Students
Stay Updated on Industry Trends and Technological Advancements
Provide Technical Support for Computers, Software, and Related Equipment
Support Students in Reviewing Course Material and Problem-Solving
Foster a Supportive and Cordial Learning Environment
Perform Other Related Duties as Assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Successful completion of thirty (30) hours of postsecondary course work AND A minimum of nine (9) hours in the specific discipline; content courses must be completed with a grade of B or better
Preferences
- Experience managing inventory and ordering supplies to maintain workflow efficiency
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and safety management in a Studio/Workshop setting
- Ability to perform Minor maintenance such as oiling and conducting small repairs
- Experience setting up and overseeing workshops/studio sessions
- Hands-on experience & comfortable with using power tools including saws
