About the Role
Under direction of a certified teacher, instructs students and adapts curriculum to meet needs of students.
Responsibilities
- Administers tests and assessments
- Makes modifications to classroom and homework for students requiring modifications
- Assists with planning and implementing field trips
- Provides one-on-one and/or group tutoring assistance
- Maintains order, discipline, and interest of children
- Escorts students to areas on campus
- Prepares classroom for activities
- Grades papers
- Attends in-service training sessions
- Tests students in various areas
- Enters and updates student information
- Maintains classroom bulletin boards and displays
- Contacts parents
- Makes copies
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of educational or clerical experience
- Licenses: Title Schools - 60 hours of secondary education or successful completion of the Paraprofessional test; Special Needs - Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of employment. Valid DPS Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC)
