Instructional Support Assistant

About the role

The paraprofessional will assist in the Instructional Support classroom, providing support during testing, organizing make-up work, and maintaining student documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring tests, quizzes, mid-term, and final examinations
• Helping the Instructional Support teacher and students organize and monitor make-up work from illnesses and extended absences
• Helping the Instructional Support teacher and Guidance staff in maintaining documentation for IEPs/504s/Medical Support plans
• Providing direct service to students in the instructional support classrooms
• Supervising students in a structured study hall

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Some post-secondary education preferred, especially in education, special education, or child development
• Prior experience working in a school or with kids is preferred
• Must comply with PA State clearance requirements
• Must be willing to respect the Catholic Church and abide by our code of conduct
