About the role

Instruct students in STEM related to TUSD curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Teach STEM subjects aligned with TUSD curriculum
  • Work with youth aged 5-18

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of experience with youth
  • Associate’s (or higher) degree or completion of an AZ Department of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test
  • 60 Semester-Hour credits at an institute of higher learning
  • Verbal & written communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
  • FBI fingerprint background check required
  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Experience as a teacher aide preferred

Skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English

SCHOOL YEAR
Location: Fruchthendler Elementary School - Cloud & Sabino Area
Classification: Non-Bargaining FTE : 0.0 - 5 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 month
This is a Temporary, Hourly position for the 2026-2027 school year.
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
