Instructional Specialist - General Subjects (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

About the role

Instruct students in general subjects related to TUSD curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Teach general subjects aligned with TUSD curriculum
  • Work with youth aged 5-18
  • Implement lesson plans and assessments
  • Provide feedback to students and parents
  • Participate in professional development activities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of experience with youth
  • Associate’s (or higher) degree or completion of an AZ Department of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test
  • 60 Semester-Hour credits from an institute of higher learning
  • Verbal & written communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization

Qualifications

  • FBI fingerprint background check required
  • Must submit copy of diploma, transcripts or test results at time of hire

Skills

  • Specialized in Math (preferred)
  • Familiar with Magnet Programs in Performing Arts (preferred)

Schedule

6 hours per day, 9.0 month work calendar.
