About the role

Support and coordinate the implementation of a comprehensive Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework and Results-Driven Accountability (RDA) to ensure an aligned system of tiered supports maximizing academic and behavioral outcomes for students at risk.

Responsibilities

  • Provide job-embedded coaching to teachers, instructional staff, and administrators through modeling, observation, guided practice, and feedback to ensure effective implementation of MTSS and behavioral interventions.
  • Provide direct support to students in academic and/or behavioral needs through individualized or small group interventions.
  • Model and deliver MTSS academic, engagement (behavior and attendance), and/or language interventions through the Student Support Team (SST) process.
  • Conduct observations focused on the fidelity of implementation for interventions and provide actionable feedback to campus leadership (building principal and MTSS program leadership team).
  • Develop and deliver high-quality professional learning focused on evidence-based interventions and MTSS processes to empower vertical teams and regions district-wide.
  • Model and teach evidence-based behavioral interventions with students receiving Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports, including students with disabilities and those at risk of disability identification.
  • Present in-service programs on district initiatives for campus staff.
  • Model and teach innovative instructional strategies to increase student learning.
  • Using RDA and district data, identify and tier campuses and develop a support plan individualized to each campus.
  • Assist teachers with data collection, disaggregate data, and support the development of intervention goals.
  • Support campuses in defining priorities and establishing timelines for the staff.
  • Keep informed of and comply with federal, state, district, and school regulations and policies for MTSS for all campus staff.
  • Work alongside school staff to build strong partnerships with families, helping everyone understand the student's support plan and making sure learning strategies and interventions work well at both home and school.
  • Collaborate between Special Education staff and the MTSS leadership team by aligning practices, clarifying roles, and promoting a culture of shared responsibility and data-driven student support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a directly related field; Master's degree from an accredited university preferred.
  • Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements for subject and subject level assigned preferred.
  • Indirect experience of a minimum of 5 years in teaching required.
  • Expertise in MTSS implementation, preferably in behavior support.
  • Strong data analysis skills for informed decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of culturally responsive practices and family engagement strategies.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
