Position Profile
The University of Wisconsin – La Crosse is seeking to fill an ongoing search for an instructional pool position within the College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities (CASSH). This position serves as a pool of potential instructors for program needs.
Job Duties
- Prepare and hold classes [face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online]
- Evaluate students’ work
- Assess student outcomes
- Provide regular and substantive feedback on student work
- Maintain appropriate records
- Hold office hours
- May advise students and/or provide other service to the department
Department Philosophy
The College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities (CASSH) is dedicated to preparing students for meaningful careers and citizenship in 21st Century global society. The college supports the university's General Education Program and offers a range of undergraduate degrees and graduate programs.
Required Qualifications
- A Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department, or significant progress toward a doctorate degree
- In rare circumstances, post-baccalaureate certification or licensure, or a baccalaureate plus experience, can be established as appropriate qualifications for the teaching position
- Specific certification/licensure or clinical experience may be required depending on the program
