Instructional Paraeducator for the 2026-2027 School Year

About the role

Under the direct supervision of a certified staff member, the Instructional Paraeducator for Assessment assists with educational assessments and data collection. This includes working with students individually to conduct assessments, sharing information with specified building staff, and communicating with staff regarding materials needed for assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assists Special Education Coordinator and School Psychologist with educational evaluations and data collection.
• Works with students individually to conduct educational assessments.
• Shares information in verbal and written form with specified building staff.
• Communicates with staff regarding materials needed for assessments.
• Meets regularly with specified building staff to plan and monitor assessment schedule.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of college level coursework - 60 Credit Hours OR passing of examination.
• Paraeducator Certification.

Qualifications

• Profile: High School diploma or equivalent AND Successful completion of college level coursework - 60 Credit Hours OR passing of examination.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong oral and written communication skills, Attention to detail, Ability to schedule and use time effectively, Adhere to federally mandated timelines, Ability to understand, apply and use personal computers and software applications, Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals, Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others, Ability to establish a supportive and compassionate relationship with students with disabilities, Aptitude for administration of educational assessments and scoring (training will be provided on specific assessments).
