MISTAFF is a collaborative effort of the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators, Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators, Michigan Association of School Boards, Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association, and Michigan School Public Relations Association.
About the Role
We are seeking passionate educators to fill various teaching and administrative positions across Michigan K-12 schools. These roles are critical in shaping the educational experiences of students and supporting school communities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with state and district standards.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to foster a positive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by school leadership (e.g., committee work, extracurricular supervision).
Requirements
- Valid Michigan teaching certification or eligibility for alternative certification (e.g., through MASSP’s program).
- Bachelor’s degree in education or relevant field (Master’s preferred for some roles).
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive teaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to evolving educational landscapes and district priorities.
