Instructional Math Coach TEMPORARY 2026/2027 School Year- Westside Elementary

About the role

Builds teachers' capacity to ensure diverse learners meet the demands of adopted Common Core State Standards and effective classroom implementation of math practices, including a focus on foundational math skills, math comprehension, conceptual understanding, procedural skills, and fluency that includes math expressions and application in the context of a Multi- Tiered System of Support (MTSS).

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing academic classroom-based modeling, coaching, and mentoring.
• Plan, implement, and deliver high-quality professional development in Math.
• Support Professional Learning Communities (PLC)/Grade Level or Content Level Teams inquiry, collaboration, and data analysis.
• Organize, manage, and document Math implementation plans as outlined by the site administration.

Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of successful classroom teaching.
• A minimum of one year of successful experience coaching is desirable.
• Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning is required; Official Transcripts.
• Master’s Degree is desirable.
• Possession of a valid California Credential authorizing Elementary or Single Subject Service and English Learner Authorization is required.

Qualifications

• -Department of Homeland Security I-9 Form completion
• TB Test Clearance
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance
• Must possess a valid California Driver’s License during the course of employment.
• Must be insurable at standard rates and maintain such insurability during the course of employment.
• Valid California Credential - Single Subject or Multiple Subject Credential and ELA is required
• Three letters of recommendation, signed and dated within 18 months.
