About the role
At Quest Collegiate Academy, we provide a blended-learning educational experience aimed at fostering responsible, goal-oriented students ready for academic success and future life pursuits. Our program combines traditional classroom settings with personalized, blended learning environments for grades 3-12, guided by teachers who emphasize knowledge and technology utilization.
Responsibilities
- Create rigorous and engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress regularly, communicating findings to students, parents, and school staff.
- Administer and interpret diagnostic tests to assess student performance levels.
- Tutor students as needed, both individually and in group settings.
- Evaluate and administer tests to track student progress and provide feedback.
- Engage with students, parents, and the broader community to inspire and motivate them.
- Participate in extracurricular activities as a mentor or sponsor.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and maintain a positive, supportive classroom environment.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and guidelines outlined in the ResponsiveEd Procedures Manual, Student Handbook, Student Code of Conduct, and Employee Handbook.
Qualifications
- One of the following Texas State Teacher’s Certifications in the subject to be taught.
- Bachelor’s degree with a passing score on an ExCET/TExES Exam in the grade level or content area to be taught.
- Bachelor’s degree with an academic minor or major (minimum of 18 credit hours) in the core academic subject areas to be taught.
- Bachelor’s degree and documented successful, relevant work experience in the content area to be taught, established by at least one year of employment in a specific field or occupation that required the educator to demonstrate knowledge or skill in the content area.
