About the role

Join McKesson's Learning & Development team and help shape the learning experiences that support our North American Pharmaceutical Distribution business. As an Instructional Designer, you'll partner with business leaders in our Customer Experience and Supply Chain Operations functions to deliver high-impact learning solutions for both new hire training and existing employee development that improves performance and drives business results.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the ADDIE methodology to design process leveraging adult learning principles and innovative technology
  • Design and develop engaging learning solutions including eLearning, instructor-led training, videos, job aids, and performance support tools
  • Partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify learning needs and create effective training programs
  • Develop and maintain new-hire training curricula
  • Manage multiple learning projects, timelines, milestones, and stakeholder communications
  • Measure learning effectiveness through assessments, evaluations, and business impact analysis
  • Administer and support learning technologies, including LMS platforms and authoring tools

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant instructional design and eLearning development experience
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience creating technical and systems-based training
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and drive projects to completion

Preferred Experience

  • Expertise with Articulate 360 Storyline and Rise or Adobe Captivate
  • Experience in school or corporate educational delivery
  • Experience in healthcare, supply chain, logistics, distribution, or pharmaceutical environments
  • LMS experience (Cornerstone OnDemand preferred)
  • Multimedia, graphic design, and audio/video editing experience
  • AI-assisted content development experience (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Articulate AI, Synthesia, Vyond AI, Canva AI, Adobe Firefly, ElevenLabs, and DALL·E) to create engaging, personalized learning content that improves learner engagement, knowledge retention, and performance.

Location

Hybrid in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. Onsite in Fort Worth, TX approximately one day per month

Pay

The target projected base salary for this role is $82,500. We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
