Instructional Designer (Articulate 360)
This is a year-long maternity leave coverage role, 40 hours per week, onsite Tues–Thurs at the Boston office. The office is accessible by public transit and has onsite parking available.
About the role
The Instructional Designer plays a pivotal role in the ongoing development and success of instructional design and content development for global retail training efforts by identifying needs, assessing knowledge and skill gaps, and leading the design and development of training content for top training priorities. You will work with the Global Retail Team to develop training for global initiatives across multiple areas such as Product, Service, Brand History & Stories, and Store Operations & Retail Tech, across six regions. You will work in a fast-paced environment with international colleagues and within an inclusive, collaborative team culture.
Responsibilities
- Work in collaboration with the Global Retail Training team to execute training strategies
- Support the team to develop training content, including eLearning, videos, instructor-led, job aids, and quick reference guides
- Manage project tasks and deliverables using agile ways of working
- Facilitate localization of training content
- Revise and maintain training content based on feedback and metrics
- Partner and collaborate with global and regional stakeholders and SMEs throughout the development process
- Engage with global and regional leadership to drive adoption of training programs in all regions
Requirements
- A degree in Instructional Design or similar field
- Minimum of 3+ years experience designing and developing instructional materials for adult learners, including eLearning, video, and instructor-led
- Experience in retail a plus
- Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on written and visual presentation
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Experience with the following tools: Articulate 360, especially Rise, and Powtoon or Vyond
- Experience with agile practices is preferred
