About the Opportunity
We are seeking a talented and passionate professional to craft transformative learning and practice experiences for a major retail team. Responsibilities
- Design and develop engaging learning activities and compelling course content that significantly enhances knowledge retention and practical application.
- Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to identify precise training needs for target audiences.
- Define clear instructional goals and create content that directly aligns with and achieves these objectives.
- Visualize instructional graphics, user interfaces, and the complete finished learning product.
- Conduct thorough instructional research and analysis on learners and their operational contexts.
- Apply proven instructional design theories, practices, and methodologies to all learning initiatives.
- Develop exercises and activities that actively enhance the learning process and skill development.
- Produce comprehensive supporting material and media, including audio, video, simulations, role plays, and interactive games.
- Establish criteria for evaluating learner performance and develop robust assessment instruments.
- Maintain meticulous project documentation and organized course folders.
- Create essential learning assets that support awareness, knowledge, and behavioral application for internal associates regarding specific internal programs related to marketplace operations.
- Actively participate in meetings, manage asset development through ticketing systems, conduct rigorous review processes, implement feedback, update asset status, and manage internal communications.
Requirements
- Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology.
- Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
- Demonstrated lesson and curriculum planning skills.
- Proficiency in visual design tools and ability to storyboard effectively.
- Exceptional ability to write effective copy, instructional text, and scripts for audio and video content.
- Proficient use of AI tools to brainstorm ideas, support rapid development, and expand modality options for delivery.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a related field.
- Strong foundational skills in Instructional Design, Adult Learning principles, and Visual Design.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge.
- Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System.
