Instructional Coach (LBS1 Required)

Marklund Day School in Geneva is expanding and seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Instructional Coach to join our team. We serve students ages Pre K-22 with profound developmental disabilities through partnerships with Chicago suburban school districts.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and onboard new teachers
• Assist teachers with administering local and state assessments
• Collaborate with teachers on writing IEP goals and oversee the goal tracking system
• Develop a curriculum scope and sequence for each grade level monthly
• Assist with implementation, modification, differentiation, and adaptation of curriculum
• Provide coaching for classroom teachers and day school staff
• Support new students throughout the intake process
• Collaborate with therapists to ensure student needs are met
• Assist with filling teacher vacancies as needed
• Accompany students on field trips (via bus or walking up to 3 miles)
• Become certified in Professional Crisis Management/UKERU and perform physical restraint when required
• Serve as a member of the building leadership team and Data Reduction Team
• Provide teacher support hours weekly before/after school based on teacher needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field (required)
• Professional Educators License (LBS1 PreK-21) (required)
• Experience working with students with multiple needs and autism (preferred)
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job and meet its functional and environmental requirements

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Pay

Annual salary of $70,000 based on qualifications and experience.
