Instructional Coach (LBS1 Required)

Job Responsibilities

• Mentors and onboards new teachers.
• Assists teachers with administering local and state assessments.
• Collaborates with teachers when writing IEP goals and assists with the oversight of the goal tracking system.
• Develops a curriculum scope and sequence for each grade level monthly.
• Assists with implementation, modification, differentiation, and adaptation of curriculum for teachers.
• Provides coaching for classroom teachers and day school staff working within the classroom.
• Supports new students throughout the intake process.
• Collaborates with therapists to ensure the needs of the students are being met.
• Accompanies students on field trips (via bus or walking up to 3 miles).
• Must become certified in Professional Crisis Management/UKERU and will be required to perform physical restraint.
• Serves as a member of the building leadership team and Data Reduction Team.
• Provides teacher support hours weekly before/after school based upon teacher needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field required.
• Professional Educators License (LBS1 PreK-21) required.
• Experience working with students with multiple needs and autism preferred.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and to meet its functional and environmental requirements.
