About the Role
The primary role of this position is to serve as an instructional leader to provide staff development, support, and explicit feedback to teachers to improve practice. The focus is around the implementation of principles of effective instruction, instructional strategies, and assessments while adhering to the law, board policies, and administrative regulations.
In cooperation with the Principal, the Dean of Students will assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining school-wide academic and behavior supports to meet the needs of all students, staff, and parents. Responsibilities include working to reduce truancy, support school safety, and assist administration with school improvement efforts. Serves as a resource for building staff, administrators, and parents in working with students, creating a positive school climate, and helping students develop a positive self-concept.
Responsibilities

Pay
Salary is prorated based on FTE: $52,792 - $93,707 (placement on the salary schedule is based on education and years of experience).

- Retirement Contribution: The district participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. Upon eligibility, the district contributes 6% of an employee's salary to their Individual Account Program (IAP).
- Eligibility for retirement contributions is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.
