About the Role

This position is ideal for a skilled classroom teacher who is looking to expand their impact beyond a single classroom while remaining closely connected to students, teachers, and the day-to-day work of teaching and learning.

Curriculum Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with administration and instructional staff to develop, evaluate, refine, and maintain curricular resources across the school.
  • Partner with instructional staff to develop and refine a comprehensive scope and sequence across curricular areas from preschool through post-high school.
  • Develop, organize, and curate the school's library/media center, including print and digital instructional resources, to support curriculum implementation, literacy development, and student and staff access to high-quality learning materials.

Coaching Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized instructional coaching through co-planning, co-teaching, lesson modeling, classroom observations, reflective feedback, and goal-setting conversations to foster continuous professional growth and strengthen instructional practice.
  • Support classroom teachers in implementing curriculum; planning, pacing, and differentiating instruction; designing engaging, standards-based lessons aligned with students' individualized learning needs and IEP goals; strengthening classroom management; and using assessment data and evidence-based practices to inform instructional decision-making.
  • Facilitate professional learning opportunities, including workshops, PLCs, and training sessions.

Direct Student Support

  • Design and deliver individualized and small-group instruction that addresses students' unique academic, communication, and functional learning needs.
  • Use ongoing assessment data to tailor instruction, monitor student progress, and collaborate with classroom teams to maximize student achievement and independence.
  • Attend team meetings, case reviews, and other student planning meetings as required.

Assessment Responsibilities

  • Lead the school's alternate assessment process by developing and organizing resources, systems, timelines, and documentation; collaborating directly with teachers and students to collect work samples; providing coaching and ongoing support; and ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant completion of all assessment requirements.
  • Administer required state and local assessments, as appropriate.
