Instructional Assistant - Transitional Kindergarten
About the role
This Instructional Assistant position supports Transitional Kindergarten classrooms in the Fountain Valley Elementary School District. The role is part-time (28 hours per week) with pay dependent on experience, ranging from $21.48 to $26.13 per hour across five steps. Hiring may be made up to step 3 per the CSEA contract. The work year is 9.6 months.

Requirements

- All applicants are invited to attend a written test (date to be determined).
- Candidates who have already passed the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) test do not need to retake it but must contact Lisa O’Cain at ocainl@fvsd.us to verify their scores before the written exam date.
Testing and Hiring Process
- The written test will be held at the Fountain Valley School District Office, 10055 Slater Avenue, Fountain Valley, CA 92708. Applicants must bring a valid ID such as a driver’s license or passport.
- Applications will be screened for minimum qualifications following the written test.
- Candidates who pass each part of the written test and the oral interview will be considered for hire.
