Instructional Assistant - Special Services Program 2026-2027
About the role
The El Dorado County Office of Education accepts applications for Instructional Assistant- Special Services Program, on a year-round basis, with no application deadline. This posting will be used to create an eligibility list. This list will be used for current and future openings.
Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising classroom, playground, and community activities of students with disabilities and Juvenile Hall students.
- Present instructional material under the teacher’s direction to individual students or small groups.
- Relieve teacher of routine clerical duties.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Successful interaction with children in a classroom or other structured setting, preferably with students with disabilities.
- High school diploma or the equivalent, and two years of college (48 units), or A.A. degree (or higher).
Benefits
- EDCOE pays $600/month toward medical (prorated for less than full time); no cost dental, life insurance, EAP, long term disability; vision $4.87/month; CalPERS retirement.
Schedule
Length of Work Year: 5 days per week, 10 months per year, hours may vary.
Pay
Pay Range: $20.55 - $ 25.46 Per Hour.
