Training Requirements
Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department. Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment. Additional 40 hours of training is available through the Special Education department, allowing the employee to increase to lane 5 upon completion. This training must be completed within six (6) months from hire date as a condition of employment.
Pay
Effective July 1, 2026: Lane 4 Step 1 ($21.33/hour).

Retirement
Benefit-eligible employees are automatically enrolled in the Utah Retirement Systems (URS). The district contributes to the URS plan monthly. After a four-year vesting period, employees may choose between:
- A Hybrid option (pension combined with a 401k plan)
- A 401k option (both employer-paid)
