About the role

The Department of Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery (PDD) at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time, 9 month, non-tenure-track Instructional Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery. This position emphasizes excellence in teaching and professional education in pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical calculations, dosage form design, and drug delivery systems, supporting the department’s mission of advancing the science of delivering therapeutic agents safely and effectively. The successful candidate will also support the research and service missions of the School of Pharmacy.

Job Description

Appointment: 9 Month
Assignment Type: Full-time
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field. Demonstrated expertise in pharmaceutics and drug delivery. Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and student-centered education.
Preferred Prior: Teaching experience in professional or graduate pharmacy education. Experience with pharmaceutical formulation, manufacturing technologies, or advanced drug delivery systems. Evidence of instructional innovation or educational scholarship. Ability to contribute to interdisciplinary and collaborative programs.
