Instructional Assistant Physical Education/ Educational Services- 8:00 AM-2:30 PM
Under general supervision, this entry-level technical instructional assistant position supports the elementary physical education (PE) program by assisting in planning and implementing lessons, organizing equipment, leading activities, and maintaining a safe environment for students across multiple sites. The role focuses on fostering a passion for physical activity and health while developing students' physical skills, fitness, teamwork, and self-regulation.

Requirements
- Proof of one of the following:
- Passing the CBEST, or
- Completion of two years of college (48 units), or
- An AA degree or higher, or
- Passing the District proficiency exam in mathematics, reading, and writing prior to the job posting closing date
- District-approved First Aid and CPR certificates (must be in-person or blended training, not fully online)
- Valid California Driver’s License

Pay
- Pay range: $20.07 - $25.59 per hour
- External candidates: Placed at Step A-C based on verified experience
- Current, regular employees on promotion: Placed at the lowest step of the new range, providing approximately a 5% raise within salary schedule constraints
Schedule
- 6 hours per day, 5 days per week
- 9.5 months per year (school year schedule)
