Instructional Assistant Mild/Mod I PT (504)

General Function

(504) Assistant Under the supervision of a school principal, department director and/or classroom teacher, the Instructional Assistant Mild/Moderate will assist student in a general educational classroom who may have mild to moderate disabilities. Will assist with the physical, emotional and educational needs of student with disabilities. The incumbent implements 504 plan and provides input into establishing the 504 plan. Collects and provides educational data to the teacher for 504 plan development and conduct school/classroom activities as directed.

Training

• Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department. Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment.
• Additional training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 4 upon completion.

Salary

Lane 3 Step 1 ($19.94/Hour)
