Responsibilities

• Instructional Assistant II (mild/moderate): work with students in Resource, Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs; run small groups; assist students in large groups in Special Day Class or General Education settings; support teacher’s needs.
• Instructional Assistant III (severe/emotionally disturbed): support students with severe emotional disturbance, including those in ED classes, autism classes, or assigned to a Behaviorist; work with groups of children; experience with impaired children or adults is highly desirable; coursework in child development is highly desirable.
