About the role
Instructional Assistant I / II / III support our elementary instructional program. We are looking for candidates with any combination of experience and training which provides the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties.
Responsibilities
Supports classroom teachers by assisting with the preparation of instructional materials, classroom management, and student behavior. Provides direct instruction to students as needed. Assists with the supervision of students during recess, lunch, and other breaks. May provide support to students with special needs, including those with learning disabilities or emotional disturbances.
Qualifications

- [A] Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam** - testing date must be April 2005 to current. No other school districts proficiency exam will be accepted.

Experience working with groups of children; experience working with impaired children or adults highly desirable; coursework in child development highly desirable.
