INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT - CREATIVE ARTS

About the role

This role supports classroom activities in various art forms and media, assisting teachers and students without requiring a teaching credential.

Responsibilities

• Help students create art projects, media projects, rehearsals, performances, exhibitions, and creative assignments.
• Prepare materials, set up activities, follow teacher direction, and help students stay engaged.
• Manage supplies, equipment, classroom areas, displays, costumes, sets, media tools, or performance materials.
• Support school events by helping set up and take down displays, concerts, assemblies, productions, exhibitions, and community shows.
• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment where students feel comfortable learning and expressing themselves.
• Encourage participation and support students of different ages, abilities, skill levels, and learning styles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A great attitude and love working with kids.
• Reliable and professional work habits.
• Plus one of the following:
• 48 college units.
• Earned an associate degree.

Qualifications

• No paid experience required.
• No teaching credential required.

Skills

• Ability to work with students of different ages, abilities, and learning styles.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to manage supplies and equipment.
• Positive and supportive attitude.
