Instructional Assistant Bilingual

About the role

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individuals or small groups of limited or non-English speaking students in a classroom environment by interpreting written materials and oral lectures; serve as an interpreter for teachers or non-English speaking parents as directed; perform a variety of clerical support duties including maintaining student records and files.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Experience working with children in an educational or child care setting (or equivalent training/experience).

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking both English and Spanish.
• Ability to interpret written and oral materials.
• Clerical skills for record keeping.

Pay

• Step A: $24.88
• Step B: $26.14
• Step C: $27.47
• Step D: $28.86
• Step E: $30.32
• Step F: $31.85

Schedule

2 to 7 hours per day, 10 months (student days only).
