Instructional Assistant

About the Role

This is a part-time position for 5.75 hours per day during the 2026-2027 school year. The Instructional Assistant will assist the teacher and/or other professionals in providing special education and related services to pupils with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in the supervision of pupils.
• Support instructional tasks as assigned.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift at least 60 lbs.
• Educational Aide Permit - ESEA Qualified required.
• Must pass the Para Professional Examination.
• High School Diploma with postsecondary training/education in working with and educating individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students from diverse backgrounds and needs, individually or in group situations.
• Ability to work effectively with associates, school officials, and the public.
• Proficiency in operating standard office equipment.
• Good health, high moral character, and a strong attendance record.
• Willingness to attend training designed to qualify a person to perform their assigned duties effectively.
