About the Role
Under general supervision, an instructional assistant provides support and advancement of the execution of the classroom teacher’s plan in an elementary or secondary learning environment. The role guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic goals by creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
