Instructional Assistant

About the Role

Under general supervision, an instructional assistant provides support and advancement of the execution of the classroom teacher’s plan in an elementary or secondary learning environment. The role involves guiding and encouraging students to develop and fulfill their academic goals by creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.

Responsibilities

• Support the classroom teacher in executing instructional plans.
• Assist in creating a learning environment tailored to students' maturity and interests.
• Encourage and guide students in achieving their academic goals.
