About the role
The successful applicant will assist teachers in preparing and performing specific activities, work with individuals, small groups, or large groups assigned and monitored by the teacher, escort students to various activities, plan with students for various class activities, assist teachers in modifying student behavior, and monitor students during assigned periods within a variety of school environments. They must also possess the ability to represent an outstanding school division by maintaining high standards and ethics each and every day.
Responsibilities
- Aid in preparing and performing specific activities as directed by teachers.
- Work with individuals, small groups, or large groups assigned and monitored by the teacher.
- Escort students to various activities as assigned by teacher or administrator.
- Plan with students for various class activities under the direction of the teacher.
- Aid teachers in modifying student behavior.
- Maintain classroom environment and monitor students during assigned periods.
Requirements
- Must have the ability to represent an outstanding school division by maintaining high standards and ethics each and every day.
- Must be able to exert moderate physical effort, typically involving stooping, kneeling, crouching, pulling or pushing, and carrying of objects and materials of moderate weight.
- Must pass the ParaPro Assessment, or complete two years of college, and complete the Autism Spectrum Disorder for Paraprofessionals course online.

Pay
Salary range: Commensurate with experience: $24,784 - $36,539; 10-month, 185 contract days.
