Responsibilities and Duties
- Gives instructional assistance with small groups of children under the direction of the teacher or a member of the certificated staff.
- Affords assistance with checking, care, preparation, and arrangement of instructional materials and equipment.
- Affords assistance with attendance and enrollment procedures, record keeping, filing, checking, etc.
- Operates audio visual equipment, copy machine, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Two years of study at an institution of higher education, or an Associate's or higher degree, or pass a formal state or local academic assessment that demonstrates knowledge of and the ability to assist in teaching reading, writing, and mathematics (or reading, writing, and mathematics readiness).
SALARY
Range 11, Step 1: $18.66 per hour (plus an additional $0.32 per hour in lieu of benefits; and additional $0.25 per hour for Moderate/Severe)
