Preschool Instructional Aide

San Bruno Park is a linguistically and culturally diverse school district in the San Francisco Bay Area. Located at the northern tip of Silicon Valley and just 10 miles south of San Francisco, this small preschool to grade 8 district serves four elementary schools and one middle school. The city is a hub for tech and innovation, home to YouTube, Walmart.com, and numerous other businesses, with diverse geography ranging from urban flatlands to expansive greenspaces and Bay vistas.

About the role

Under the direction of the assigned teacher and administrator, the Preschool Instructional Aide assists children by providing individual and/or group support.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group assistance to preschool children.
• Support classroom instruction under the direction of the assigned teacher.

Requirements

• Four or more years of increasingly responsible classroom experience, preferably in a school system or equivalent setting.
• Demonstrated success interacting and working with the public both in person and on the telephone.
• Education equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade or greater.
• At least twelve (12) core semester units of Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development (CD).

Schedule

• Full-time, 7.5 paid hours per day, Monday through Friday.
• 185-day work year.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $22.22 – $27.37.
