King Open School’s commitment is to increase every student’s ability to monitor their own learning, recognize the role of effort, and work independently as well as cooperatively. Through differentiation and academic rigor, we provide a well-rounded education that develops critical thinking, collaboration skills, and a strong work ethic. Family participation and feedback are welcomed, and we ensure all families are deeply connected with their child’s learning and school community. We cultivate positive attitudes and respect diversity through culturally responsive pedagogy, creating a safe, orderly, and high-achieving environment. Our goal is to equip students with skills to actively explore and investigate the world, using student work and assessment data to inform instruction and close learning gaps.
