Instructional Aide - Computer Lab Monitor - Temporary, Part-Time

About the role
The Faculty Instructional Aide for the Digital Arts Department supports the Digital Arts computer lab by monitoring usage, assisting students with software and projects, and maintaining a safe, open learning environment. This position offers a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
This is a temporary, part-time role with applications remaining active for 6 months to a year. Selected candidates may be contacted as positions become available based on enrollment levels and business needs. Placement in the applicant pool does not guarantee employment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and oversee the Digital Arts computer lab.
- Assist students with signing in and out of the lab.
- Address student questions or problems related to software and projects.
- Maintain a safe and open learning/study environment for Digital Arts students.
- Maintain a regular, agreed-upon, and posted in-person schedule.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with Apple computers and devices.
- Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications: Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of a second language.
- Knowledge of additional Adobe applications such as After Effects.
Skills
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications: Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator.
- Proficiency with Mac products and operating systems.
- Able to assist others with questions or problems.
