Instruction Librarian, part-time
Basic Function
Provides information literacy instruction to first-year composition classes.
Unusual Work Conditions
- Mobility required
- Must be able to lift materials off shelves
- Requires some evening hours
Education & Essential Experience
- Demonstrated experience using varied techniques to engage learners
- Prior experience providing instruction in an academic setting highly desirable

Essential Functions
- Provides information literacy instruction to first-year composition classes, including leading instruction sessions in the library instruction lab
- Communicates with assigned faculty to confirm scheduling and tailor lessons
- Participates in planning and evaluation meetings to review lessons and identify improvements
- Develops and maintains knowledge of Library and University resources
- Collaborates with teaching librarians
Data Management
Exempt: No supervision of personnel
Reports To: Associate Teaching & Learning Coordinator
