Instruction Librarian, part-time

Basic Function

Provides information literacy instruction to first-year composition classes.

Unusual Work Conditions

• Mobility required
• Must be able to lift materials off shelves
• Requires some evening hours

Education & Essential Experience

• Demonstrated experience using varied techniques to engage learners
• Prior experience providing instruction in an academic setting highly desirable
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Essential Functions

• Provides information literacy instruction to first-year composition classes, including leading instruction sessions in the library instruction lab
• Communicates with assigned faculty to confirm scheduling and tailor lessons
• Participates in planning and evaluation meetings to review lessons and identify improvements
• Develops and maintains knowledge of Library and University resources
• Collaborates with teaching librarians

Data Management

Exempt: No supervision of personnel

Reports To: Associate Teaching & Learning Coordinator
