Instruction and Classroom Support Assistant - STEM
About the role
Classroom Lab Assistants are temporary, part-time positions at Seattle Central College supporting instruction and classroom activities in STEM. A Classroom Lab Assistant works under the supervision of an Instruction & Classroom Support Technician 4 and may assist with program lecture and laboratory components in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or Physics.
We are a district of three distinct colleges, North Seattle College, Seattle Central College, and South Seattle College, and five specialty training centers. Which makes us the largest and most diverse community college district in the state of Washington, we are leaders in change and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Learn and follow classroom and laboratory procedures and policies
- Maintain regular contact with supervisor
- Keep lab and prep areas clean and organized
- Dust, sweep, mop, and wash as necessary
- Assist in setting up and putting away classroom and laboratory activities
- Learn to maintain and repair classroom and laboratory equipment
