Responsibilities
- Serve as primary contact for assigned institutional and intermediary clients, ensuring high-quality client experience
- Deeply understand each client’s objectives, structure, and evolving needs to support long-term relationship success and organic growth
- Lead client engagement (calls, meetings, conferences, etc.), providing concise investment and firm updates often in partnership with the investment team
- Own timely resolution of client inquiries, requests, and issues, ensuring clear communication and strong follow-through
- Deepen client relationships through proactive engagement and partnership events
- Identify and build relationships with other key stakeholders (e.g. field consultants, investment staff, product/platform teams)
- Articulate the firm’s investment strategies and investment platform with clients
- Partner with internal teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality service for each client
- Collaborate with other Relationship Managers on innovative ideas, best practices, and industry insights; support implementation of improvements
- Participate in team initiatives and special projects that improve processes and the overall client experience
- Capture client activity, opportunities, and relationship insights in Salesforce
- Desire to continuously expand industry knowledge, with a long-term focus on professional growth and pursuing relevant certifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5-15 years of relevant experience
- Experience working with institutional clients (e.g. pension plans, endowments & foundations) and consultants preferred
- Ability to work full time in the firm’s Baltimore office
- Ability to travel for client meetings and events
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Team-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive
- Strong judgment, ability to work under pressure, and highly adaptable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to balance current client needs with long-term objectives
- Acts in best interest of each client by understanding their needs and delivering exceptional service
- Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products
- Ability to work in our Baltimore office
