About the role
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Wealth team at Mercer, a Marsh business. This role can be based in New York City, Boston, Norwalk, Philadelphia, or King of Prussia and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Examine and monitor developments at investment management firms and communicate relevant updates to clients
- Manage projects by ensuring timely, high quality client deliverables, delegating work to analysts, providing guidance, and ensuring peer review
- Thrive and be motivated by an environment that embraces AI and technology-enabled tools
- Produce accurate and detailed client reports through analysis of client-specific investment data, ongoing investment performance, and manager monitoring
- Liaise with investment managers and custodians to gather and clarify client-specific data for reporting or any other client-related matters
- Support investment manager searches, investment structure reviews, mutual fund selection, asset allocation studies, new business presentations, and other investment-related activities
- Analyze and edit investment policy statements and conduct strategic portfolio structure and asset allocation analysis
- Participate in quarterly or ad-hoc client meetings
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with coursework in business or investment-related courses
- 2-5 years of relevant investment experience
- Actively pursuing or willing to obtain the CFA, CAIA, CIMA, or CIPM designation
- Knowledge of performance calculations, risk metrics, and portfolio construction
- Self-motivated and effective in a highly collaborative team environment
- Effective in multitasking and managing multiple priorities in a rapidly changing, dynamic setting
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills
- High-level attention to detail and an understanding of its impact on the bigger picture
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends and market conditions
- Adaptability and decisiveness
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

- Knowledge of institutional clients and plan types (Endowments, Foundations, Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution)

Pay
The applicable base salary range for this role is $67,000 to $134,000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Schedule
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.
