Responsibilities

  • Support a portfolio of institutional funders by assisting with cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and renewal activities.
  • Develop compelling grant proposals, reports, budgets, letters of inquiry, and other funding materials in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct prospect research to identify new foundation and institutional funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Collapse coordination of proposal development, reporting schedules, funding agreements, and grant deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Participate in funder meetings, presentations, and stewardship activities alongside the Director of Institutional Giving.
  • Collaborate across departments to gather programmatic and financial information, communicate impact, and support successful grant administration.

Qualifications

  • Experience in institutional giving, grant writing, foundation relations, nonprofit fundraising, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success writing persuasive grant proposals and supporting donor or funder relationships.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience conducting prospect research and translating complex information into compelling funding narratives.
  • Passion for environmental protection, racial justice, civic engagement, and mission-driven work.

Compensation and Benefits

  • This position offers an annual salary of $90,000 to $95,000, based on experience, along with comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with employer match, generous paid time off, paid holidays, a year-end office closure, and a flexible hybrid work environment with a four-day work week for much of the year.
