Pay

Pay Range: $44,000 – $49,544 (Pay Band 3).

Schedule

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays and weekends, days, evenings, and nights.

About the Role

Working Title: Institutional Chauffeur (12‑Month). State Role Title: Transportation Operator III. Position Type: Full‑time Staff (Classified). FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt (eligible for overtime). Department: 100232 - Transportation E&G.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional driving duties on in‑state and out‑of‑state trips as needed.
• Conduct accurate pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections per DOT requirements.
• Ensure vehicles are properly cleaned and serviced for trips.
• Plan trips for the most efficient routing and keep an accurate travel log.
• Maintain safe driving actions and avoid collisions.
