About the role

Responsibilities

• Contribute to interdisciplinary research projects addressing global sustainability challenges.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to climate resilience, ecosystem management, and resource efficiency.
• Engage with stakeholders from academia, industry, government, and communities to foster collaborative problem-solving.
• Collaborate with international partners to advance use-inspired research and policy recommendations.
• Design and deliver public programs that promote sustainability education and community engagement.

Requirements

• PhD in relevant field such as ecology, environmental science, engineering, or related area.
• Experience in conducting research, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for sustainability and a commitment to making a positive impact on the environment and society.

Qualifications

• Expertise in one or more of the institute's focus areas: climate action, ecology and biodiversity, food, energy and water systems, sustainable cities and communities.
• Track record of successful research publications and presentations.
• Experience in interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data analysis and modeling.
