Installer Technician Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Repair and install garage door parts and equipment on-site
• Diagnose and repair garage doors, door operators, replace worn or broken door parts, install new equipment including doors, and replace springs
• Educate customers about their options to repair the issue and prevent future ones
• Collect payment from customers after the work is done
• Sell services to customers using a good/better/best model
• Manage inventory in your vehicle

Requirements

• Must have mechanical aptitude and technical skills
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds independently
• Must be able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work in the heat and cold, both outside and inside garages that may not be temperature-controlled
• Must have interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with customers and solve issues
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be reliable and able to serve our customers following our process
• Basic position requirements: Must have basic knowledge of the garage door industry, but training will be provided

Qualifications

• Must be able to use a computer and/or tablet
• Must be able to use hand tools and operate mechanical equipment
