Installer III - Candler, NC

About the role

The Installer III position at HouseSmart Construction assists the Crew Chief and team with daily tasks on manufactured home sites. This role involves independent ownership of numerous construction tasks, often assisting in training and supporting other team members.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Crew Chief and team on daily tasks, ensuring tasks are assigned and completed efficiently.
• Help the team with daily projects, including prepping and cleaning the jobsite, basic masonry work, leveling of the home, installing door bars and supports, electrical and plumbing crossovers, removing tires, axles, and tongues, and other hands-on construction tasks.
• Operate and eventually lead the operation of specialty heavy equipment.
• Learns and assists with roofing responsibilities, including hinging, flashing, shingling, and ridge caps.
• Affixes quality and accuracy checks, ensuring trucks, loads, and equipment are organized effectively and secured for safety.

Requirements

• 2+ years of various residential, commercial, or industrial construction experience.
• Enjoy working with your hands and being outdoors.
• Desire to learn and grow your career.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Experience operating heavy machinery such as a skid-steer, tractor, backhoe, or front-end loader.
• Comfortable with heights and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
