Himmel’s is a growing organization with locations in Nashville, New Orleans, Prairieville, Dallas, and Houston. We pride ourselves as the door opening experts, not simply a construction material supplier. Our family-owned and operated company is seeking a Commercial Door Installer to join our team.

About the role

Install and repair doors and hardware on commercial sites.

Responsibilities

• Measure, mark, and arrange materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
• Use various hand and power tools to securely install doors.
• Ensure the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels or framing squares; correct problems as needed.
• Adhere to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
• Track progress through detailed end-of-day reporting.
• Coordinate with project manager and onsite customer contact(s) to ensure project completion and satisfaction are met.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
• Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
• Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods.
• Works well as part of a team.
• 1 year of commercial construction experience (required).
• Driver’s License (preferred).

Preferred experience as a door installer or trim carpenter.

Pay

From $18.00 to $32.00 per hour.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
