Responsibilities
- Follow safe work practices and company and client worksite policies.
- Assist the project team with installation activities as needed.
- Proactively maintain jobsite organization and basic housekeeping. Organize materials, tools, and equipment, collect debris, and ensure hazardous conditions are promptly addressed.
- Learn to read and interpret floorplans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets.
- Learn about the different materials and methodologies involved with the installation of a structured cabling system.
- Seek to understand a task and ask relevant questions before beginning to complete it.
- Maintain satisfactory compliance with customer security requirements.
- Exhibit and maintain professional appearance and behavior.
- Travel as required by E2 Optics (generally minimal overnight travel (5%) in certain regions, could require frequent (50%+) overnight and extended out-of-town travel in others).
- Additional responsibilities as identified and assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- OSHA 10 certification within first 2 weeks in role.
- Experience working in Structured Cabling or related industry/construction.
- Able to read, write, and understand English.
- Able to distinguish color codes.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Requires sitting, use of hands and arms, verbal communication, and occasional physical movement such as stooping or kneeling.
- Frequently required to stand and walk.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Must regularly carry and climb ladders up to 20 feet.
- Must be able to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) if required.
- May be required to work in tight and confined spaces.
