Responsibilities

• Follow safe work practices and adhere to company and client worksite safety policies and procedures.
• Assist the project team with installation activities as needed.
• Proactively maintain jobsite organization and basic housekeeping: organize materials, tools, and equipment, collect debris, and address hazardous conditions promptly.
• Learn to read and interpret floorplans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets.
• Learn about materials and methodologies involved in structured cabling system installation.
• Seek to understand tasks and ask relevant questions before beginning work.
• Maintain compliance with customer security requirements.
• Exhibit and maintain professional appearance and behavior.
• Travel as required by E2 Optics (generally minimal overnight travel at 5%, but may require frequent or extended out-of-town travel up to 50%+ in some regions).
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• OSHA 10 certification (to be obtained within the first 2 weeks in role).
• Experience working in Structured Cabling or a related industry/construction field.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to distinguish color codes.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The standard work environment is an indoor business office and construction site with moderate noise levels. The role requires:

• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands and arms.
• Occasional physical movements such as stooping or kneeling.
• Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
• Regularly carrying and climbing ladders up to 20 feet.
• Ability to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) if required.
• Potential work in tight and confined spaces.
